Lian stood cloaked in a heavy white robe before the Hyperion Academy. This was different from anything she'd ever known, it was wondrous. Her hand clasped firm on the sword holster at her side, which did not contain a sword but a scripture, as she took a few steps closer to the building which to her resembled a great stone temple. For a moment she debated removing the sandals on her feet before entering as it would only be respectful. Her head shook in dismay as she decided against it. She had to remind herself that she in a new land with different customs.
It took her two deep breaths before she could bring herself to walk into the lobby of the hotel. So far she had been lucky not to run into any of the demons who sought the map only she could read. She couldn't hope her luck would last forever so she was ready to use any protective magic as her foot crossed the threshold.
What she saw inside almost made her smile. The bustle of young girls moving about back and forth. It appeared like one large family, one that she longed for. The hood was off of her head quickly as she attempted to figure out which one of the girls should be trusted with the reason she was there. Lian caught glimpses of a few males she assumed were the 'watchers' her mentors had spoken about. For watchers they didn’t seem to be watching a whole lot.
Lian cleared her throat loudly putting a hand up to slightly muffle the sound and show some semblance respect for those who gathered there. No one outwardly turned their attention to her and she sighed, she had anticipated this may happen as the monks described the slayers. All young girls, most of which would be American, she shook her head.
"Excuse Me," Lian spoke with a large Asian accent nearly shouting. Still it didn't appear that anyone was paying attention. Her hand grasped the scripture end tightly and she pulled it as if unsheathing a sword. Suddenly nearly all eyes were on her. 'Okay this is how you get attention around here,' Lian thought slightly irritated.

Willow had been in the library researching information on a project to corporalize Wesley when she had felt a new kind of energy overcome her. She looked up from her book curiously, and over to the doorway leading to the lobby. Being the head witch at the Hyperion Academy and with her ever growing power, Willow had been able to develop a sense about these things. Leaving her research behind, the redhead exited the library and went off in search of this new presence.
She entered the lobby, taking a moment to scan through the usual hussle and bussle of slayers and watchers to find the source. It didn't take long for her emerald eyes to come to a stop on a young woman of Asian descent. Making her way through the horde of slayers, Willow approached the girl with a warm smile. The girl wore a long white robe. She had unsheathed a scroll, attracting Willow's attention even further. Not only did the girl give off an amazing power, but the scroll in her hand gave off an energy of its own. Realizing that she was starring at the scroll, the redheaded witch turned her gaze to the girl's face.
"Welcome to the Hyperion Academy. I'm Willow," she greeted, introducing herself.
Once again, she found herself looking down at the scroll wondering what was held within.
"Sorry, I don't mean to stare, but that thing is giving off some major mojo," Willow smiled. "Are you a slayer?"

Lian regarded the red head in front of her with a mildly confused expression before giving a gentile smile. "I am Lian, no no Slayer more of a .." Her face contorted slightly as she thought of just the right word to use. "Witch.. I believe is the common word, but it is a pleasure to meet you Willow."
Unsure of what the word 'Mojo' meant the young Asian decided to dismiss it and focus her attention on the reason why she was there. "I have traveled far, I request the assistance of slayers, are you a slayer?" She turned the redheads question back at her but not in an impolite way, her hand clasped on the scroll in a reflexive action she'd developed over the years of protecting it.
The energy in the room seemed to swarm around Willow suddenly the natural elements or aura brightest around her answering Lian's question for her. No Willow was most likely not a slayer, she was more likely a kindred spirit.. a witch, though much more powerful than Lian herself. She shrunk back slightly not sure if she should bow in respect like she would have back home or follow some American custom she wasn't yet aware of.
The gears in her head went like mad, should she tell her fellow witch what was held with in the scroll on her hip. Given that Willow had already mentioned the power it gave off it wouldn't be easy to keep it a secret, and she didn't want to seem unfriendly after all she'd come there for help. She stopped herself mid bow.
"You can help me?" Lian asked though she felt it sounded stupid even coming from her lips. "Map... to Shangri-La," She whispered tapping lightly though not yet unsheathing.
