Just like it says people, give me your ideas.
Or if you want my ideas, just tell me a bit about your character and I'll judge if they'll get along or not.

I was wondering if perhaps we may get along. My character Lian is a chinese witch who speaks to and respects the dead enough to regard them almost better than the living. She enjoys literature and has a passion for energy. She protects a map written in an ancient language only her family can read as far as she knows which leads to an ancient city.
Anyway ancient languages seemed to be a passion of Wes's during the series so maybe you could work more with that rather than just moping around. Gotta get Wes excited make those dead eyes light up. Maybe a new secret to unlock would help that happen.
Hit me back and maybe we can find a story line.

That sounds like an amazing storyline! Wesley would be thrilled to help her out with that. If her family were the only ones who could read it, maybe he could try and translate it. It could take a while, but he could give her words and just snippets of sentences as time goes on.

Exactly where I was going with this, it might be challenging but worth the effort. Its kind of depressing seeing Wes all mopey and forlorn. Gotta make him feel useful again.
Can he leave the library or is he stuck?
Either way I think I'm going to start working on the map translation from what ever language its in to rough English and Wes can work with her from there in hushed tones.

Oh yes. He can go anywhere around the building. I think he probably should have it in sight at all times or he might be poofed back to wherever his office was. I think that would be a good idea since Wolfram & Hart holds his contract and they're the reason he's a ghost anyway.
Sounds like a good idea!

Possible Wes and Aleks were in the Academy together.

Aleks seems much younger than Wesley, but I guess that could work. I don't know the age requirements for the Academy.
