Buffy yawned as she leaned her head against her palm, her long blonde locks cascading over her shoulders. Her pen moved across a piece of paper, a girl's file to be exact. She was a noobie, Ashlee her name was. Redhead, strong, very closed off she could tell. The girl just didn't seem all there and it upset the seasoned slayer. The girl held a strong potential, the strength was apparent, but what was causing this girl to be so upset that she doesn't talk to anyone but the other new slayer, Angela? Buffy's seen that pain before, the loss in the blue eyes of the girl. She lost someone close to her, Buffy could relate.
"Stupid pen!" Buffy muttered loudly as she tossed the pen from her. The pen had either run out of ink or it was just being a pain in her ass. She looked around the desk, trying to find another pen. She slumped against her chair and held the file in her hand. She then slid it under the counter and sat there, looking out at the lobby. She needed to sleep, she hadn't slept in days. It was hard to tell what was the last day she had a good night sleep.
"Sleepy.. Buffy muttered and rested her chin on her arms as she folded them over the surface of the front desk. She looked at the door before she doodled on the marble with the pen. It was a childish move, but Buffy wasn't really paying much attention. She was too lost in thought about Ashlee.

Arriving in Los Angeles only about an hour ago, Aurora already knew where she was meant to go. Now usually, the whole idea of "school" wasn't something that called out to her, however she suspected going to the academy would be an advantage. She looked forward to training and sparring with Buffy and Faith, both equally skilled fighters. Aurora figured that she could hold her own against the two, though no one could possibly know yet. She hadn't told anyone that she was coming, so it would be quite the surprise. Boy, what they would soon think of Rora.
At only nineteen years young, she had actually had a nice amount of experience slaying wise. Since the slayer had been doing it for three years, she was used to the advantages and the disadvantages. Unlike most slayers she'd heard of, Aurora loved it. Power was her calling, and she needed more and more of it everyday. The adreniline she got from fighting was amazing, and she never wanted to give that up. It might seem reckless, but she didn't care. Never having cared what people thought of her, Aurora is quite the free spirit.
Walking down the street in the dark, especially in a city like this, was usually dangerous. However the young slayer hadn't actually seen any vamps yet. This was probably because she was closing in on the slayers academy; no vampires would be stupid enough to hunt in this area. Her hair flew loosely past her shoulders, her dark brown waves flowing freely in the light breeze. She was dressed in a black halter top and jeans with black combat boots; her usual outfit. Blue eyes scanned the people and the surrounding area, her guard never going down.
At last, she arrived at the hotel. Lights were on inside the main lobby so she knew someone was inside. So she swiftly opened the door and walked inside, looking around as she did. Immediately her eyes flew to a woman at the main desk. Just from what she had heard, she knew that it was a slayer; Buffy to be exact. Eyes flickering she walked up to the desk and leaned on the counter.
"So, what does a slayer have to do to get a room around here?" She said smirking, blue eyes ready to get started training.

Buffy heard footsteps outside the front door of the Hyperion and she still didn't look up from the table, the doodle entertaining the blonde slayer. She was so tired, she wanted to just curl up on the floor and sleep for days, but that wasn't an option for her. That's when she looked up to see a brunette leaning against the desk, being a bit cocky. Buffy slapped her arm down and looked at her.
"Spar with me and fill out some paper work." Buffy said and turned back to her doodle before tossing the pen to her desk and stepping away from it. She may be small, but she could kick ass better than anyone. She's been doing this for 12 years, she was the most experienced slayer in this entire building, she could wipe the floor with the newbie.
"Toss at me your best, Victoria Secret." Buffy said, staring at the girl as she didn't get into any special stance. Her bouncy blonde locks wrapped around her neck as she looked at her. She on the inside, was more than ready for this girl.

As she watched the slayer failed to acknowledge Aurora until she actually spoke. The words flowed out of her mouth with almost perfection. She had no accent and no speech impairment, and her english was damn near perfect. Though considering her history and personality this was quite the shocker. As Buffy looked up at her she could already tell what she thought of Rora. Arrogant, probably naive and weak. This was what most people thought about the young slayer. Well, the arrogant part at least. Smirking at the elderly slayer she remembered hearing that she was in her late twenties. She had lived longer then any other slayer. Hell, it was time to see why.
"Awe, look, i can see the wrinkles forming already." She then spat back at the victoria secret comment. Hell, she hadn't expected to be greeted this way but it wasn't like she cared. Besides, this would be much more fun then a friendly, warm cookie greeting she had expected.
"Gee, I hope you don't need a hip replacement after this." She then added, making another comment about how much older Buffy was. Then she stepped around the counter a few feet away from Buffy so that nothing was between them. Now usually, she would make her opponent come to her as it made things much easier. But she didn't want her to think that she was afraid or anything. In all truth, Aurora wasn't afraid at all.
In fact, she was down right excited.
Clearing her mind she eyed her opponent carefully. It was then that she took a few step backwards. Next, she propelled herself at full speed into the air. Flipping over Buffy she was now behind her. With this new found position she sent an open palm to the kidney area, her thrust full of power.

Buffy ignored the comments about her age. Buffy knew that she was rounding 30, and soon and it scared her sometimes. Angel for one, he still looked like the most beautiful person on the planet, and here she was aging like a prune. But she wasn't going to let it get to her, not from this girl. The girl was fiesty, but inexperienced.
"All talk no walk, Tyra, move it along." She said before the girl launched herself into the air and behind Buffy. Buffy's face was tight and ready. Wrinkles? Pfft. Then Buffy spun, catching the girl's wrist and jerked it back, and sending a kick to the girl's face. She then got her palm ready for a chest shot once her kick landed. Buffy has been doing this long enough, now she was just testing the girl's reaction time.
"Lesson number one, lose the attitude." Buffy said, her green eyes fierce as she stared the girl down. This wasn't the place to let your emotions run wild, they were here to prepare and to educate.

Tyra? Well she would simply let that one go, as Tyra was a damned beautiful woman. It was right about now that she wondered what was so special about this slayer. Then she figured it out, as her wrist was snapped back and a foot flew into her face. Stumbling back, she made sure to regain balanced within seconds. Just as Buffy's foot dropped Aurora noticed her looking at the young slayers chest. As Buffy's open palm flew at her, Aurora sidestepped to avoid the blow and then grabbed Buffy's arm. Cracking it at the elbow area she used the experienced slayers arm to push her several feet away from Aurora.
"You started it, blondie." She said smiling, waiting for the slayer to advance again. This time not only was her mind clear but her muscles were relaxed and ready. Her strength might not be up to par, but she was extremely fast. Hoping her speed made up for her strength as she awaited the slayers attack. It seemed so far that her prior advantage had been defense, as Aurora had taken the offense. Now she was happy to be on the other side.
Rora wasn't a complete newbie as she'd been doing this for two years already, however it wasn't close to what Buffy had been through. Hell she admired the chick. Maybe after this little spar was over with Buffy would train Aurora. However, they didn't seem to be getting along to well. This, made a small smile creep over her beautiful features.

It wasn't like he meant to bust in on people every single moment of every day. Wesley just couldn't open doors and it wasn't like he was going to ask if he could come in every time he walked into a room. He was one of the head ones here anyway, ghost or not. He deserved to be around, but he thought otherwise when he poked his body through the door of the main lobby. If he were holding something, it would have dropped, but the fact that he could hold nothing but his jaw from falling to the floor was a factor. A little fight had broken out between Buffy and one of the other students. He was completely worried about the student, but she seemed to be handling herself pretty well.
"Ladies....LADIES!" Wesley yelled, trying to get their attention to stop the name calling and bruising. "There are times and places for these sorts of things. This is not one of them. There is a room meant for this sort of thing." He turned his head to Buffy to give her a watchful eye. "And you know exactly where that is. I would expect more from you." That last sentence could've sent her foot into his face, but he said more things that he kept hidden now that nothing could hurt him. The other reason was the fact that he could handle himself, maybe able to throw her off himself. She didn't know what he was capable of now. All she knew that he was a ghost and he tried being a watcher to Faith several years ago.

Willow entered the lobby, walking in through the twin doors that lead in from the courtyard. Brushing her red strands out of her face, she took a deep breathe from the hops flowers she had brought in from the garden that she kept around back. When placed inside a pillowcase, the hops flower was meant to aid peaceful sleep, end nightmares, and bring forth beneficial dreams. She had intended to replace the flowers she kept tucked in Jessica-Olivia's pillow, as she did at the end of every week since the little girl had been brought to her. Jessie was an extremely powerful child. However, at the tender age of seven, her gifts could proved to be too much at times. After the death of her mother -- a former slayer -- things had gotten rough for her. It helped that Giles' took her into his own and adopted her immediately after, making sure she still knew she was among family. Willow even thought of Jessie as her own, and would do anything for the child's safe keeping and upbringing.
Crossing to the stairs, Willow noticed a certain blond slouching against the front desk. She gave off a sad kind of smile as she gazed across the room at her best friend, wondering when the slayer had slept last. Walking over, Willow pulled a hops flower free of her bundle intending on offering one to Buffy to help her sleep. Before she could make her way, she noticed a dark-haired girl enter the Hyperion and question Buffy. She was obviously a new slayer in town who had heard of the Hyperion Academy. It seemed like there was a dozen new slayers everyday lately.
Holding back, Willow allowed the girl to speak with the senior slayer. She raised a brow as the two began to spar. The witch had watched something like this on more than one once. Not all girls had to spar on the spot with Buffy to be granted access to the Academy, but on occasion it happened. Faith had done it as well. It was usually only on Buffy's bad days when the older slayer needed an avenue to let out some free steam. It also was a good way to show the new slayers where their place was, and so Willow remained silent as she watched the test unfold.
Startled by a familiar voice behind her, Willow looked to Wesley. The redhead sighed. Ever since Wesley had become a ghost he had a knack for sneaking up on people by simply slipping through walls. It wasn't his fault, she knew, but it still gave her the shivers every now and again. Smiling, Willow waved him off and walked over to him.
"It's ok, Wesley. This happens every now and than. Buffy's just testing her. Newbie and all," she explained to the ghost of the former watcher.

The girl was good, she'd give her that, she was proud of her already. When she was launched away from her by the newbie, she tucked and landed on her feet and turned toward the slayer, her green eyes flaring. She then looked to see Wesley, and his little ghost moving on in and she rolled her eyes and got out of her fighting stance, looking at the ghost of one of her watchers.
"Wes will you take a chill, jeez." She said and looked to Aurora and shrugged her shoulders at her. That's when Willow appeared out of no where and Buffy sighed, seeing that everyone was coming in on the whole thing. She was just testing the girl, see what level she was at , a pretty fair one at that. She then walked over to Aurora and reached for her hand ,shaking it.
"Welcome, I'm Buffy in case you didn't know. That's Wes, our nagging neighborhood ghost." and then she turned to the redhead best friend of hers and smiled, pointing to her.
"That would be our fabulous resident goddess, Willow Rosenberg." She said before turning back to Aurora with a smile that was kind and warm. "And you are pretty good, nice to have you on board." She said before stepping back to the front desk and grabbed a clipboard. She then walked back to Aurora and smirked deviously. "Fill this out and we'll get you a room." She said, placing a pen on the clipboard before she walked away to Willow and leaned against a pillar.
"Nice to see you...Got and magically sleeping pills that won't kill me?" She asked, staring the redhead with tired eyes.

Suddenly the brunette slayer broke her gaze away from Buffy, noticing another woman and a man now in the room. However as she looked into the mans eyes, she was confused. It was as if he wasn't there, like he had no soul. In fact it was the complete opposite she found out as Buffy introduced him. A ghost? Well, that meant all soul no body. He was handsome though she could see that. Not a boyish type of handsome she was used to, a more rugged, wise handsome.
"Hey kasper." She said smiling, her green-blue eyes lighting up as they briefly locked eyes. Determined not to seem naive or be judged as a fleety little girl, she then turned her eyes to the red headed woman.
"Willow? Pretty name." She said, and actually managed to say it without attitude as if she meant it; which she did. She didn't want everyone to hate her right off the bat, so she was trying to be on her best behavior. Though, it honestly didn't matter to her.
"Your not so bad yourself for an old lady." She said to Buffy. Although this time she didn't mean it as an insult, she was simply teasing the slayer and it showed in her playful eyes.
"Thanks." She then said genuinely as she was handed the clipboard. Though paperwork had never been her favorite thing in the world. As soon as Buffy had turned her attention to Willow, Aurora ditched the clipboard under a stack of papers on the front desk.
"Feel like giving a girl a tour?" She said to the ghostly man, smiling the whole time. The building was quite large and seemed to hold a lot of people. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Aurora wasn't exactly good with people. Waiting for Wes' response, she let her teal-ish colored eyes scan the room quickly before returning to him.

Willow looked over to the two slayers as they finished up their sparring. The redhead offered a warm smile to the new girl, and gave her a nod.
"Nice moves out there, and thanks," she said, greeting the new girl. Her cheeks flushed red briefly at the compliment and from Buffy once again calling her a goddess. She never thought of herself as one, despite being dubbed the title by her friends and a few of the other occupants of the Hyperion. Yea, she performed the spell that gave all the potentials their powers and had that moment, but that was that. She was just plain ol' witchy Willow now.
"I hope we didn't interrupt," the redhead apologized to Buffy.
She waited patiently near Wesley while Buffy went over the form. Forms were a must around here. It was hard enough keeping track of all the new slayers, and Giles had insisted on a system. They had a meeting about keeping better track of the files earlier today infact. Smiling as Buffy walked back, Willow nodded.
"I do actually. Here. Put this in your pillowcase tonight," the redhead said handing her friend a hops flower. "It provokes peaceful sleep. When's the last time you got a good night's rest anyhow?"
Willow gave the slayer a concerned look, knowing that Buffy had been taking alot on these days being the senior slayer. Willow felt she could relate, being dubbed the head witch of the academy, and the one to go to for all your magic needs. Fun. When in reality it was pretty darn stressful.

Wesley looked over to Willow who he did not notice before and probably scared. Shaking his head at himself, he mouthed an apology while they still fought. After speaking up on the sparing girls, he heard her voice speak up right next to him. "I know, but can't it be somewhere else? If a potential student came in and saw this...what do you think they would say?" He knew he was being a tight ass these days, but he had every reason. No one else was dead. He wished he were with Fred's soul in a better place, but since it was obliviated from her body it was like she did not exist anywhere now. Thinking about it made his heart break more.
After the pleasant voice of Willow Rosenberg, the crotchety voice of Buffy Summers rang in his ears. Looking smug, he folded his arms and said nothing, grumbling as she introduced him as a nagging ghost. Someone needed to quit with the Casper jokes and go to something else. There were other ghosts that he resembled more. Perhaps Patrick Swayze in Ghost? Anything from Ghostbusters would be fine too. Casper was getting on his nerves.
Sighing at the other Casper joke from the unknown girl, he tried to smile at her greeting but ended up looking tense. "Hello." He ripped the response from his lips, still cranky about how Buffy had snapped at him. Standing there with no speech for about a minute, the unknown girl started to speak to him. The sentence was enough to perk his spirits right up. He smirked happily, the folded arms falling to his sides as his eyes squinted happily. "I would be happy to."

So they had slayers, vampires, witches, watchers, and...ghosts? Well wouldn't this be a fun experience. Already this Wes character seemed a bit uptight. It was as if he was the dad of the group maybe, yelling at all the children until they followed the rules. Hopefully Aurora could help him relax a little while on the tour. She was a generally uplifting person. Well, when she isn't pissing people off that is. Her free spirit tends to get people to open up a bit, and maybe she could convince him to tell her how the whole ghost thing happened.
"I'm Aurora." She said to Wes as she walked over to him.
"I'd shake your hand but obviously that would be a waste of time." She said lightly. Not insulting him or anything, just simply stating the fact.
Her blue-green eyes scanned the room once more before focusing back on Wesley. Damn. They all had the same look on their face. As if they'd been through so much, and all they wanted was a break. As her mind flew back to her paperwork she wondered if she'd get scolded for failing to fill it out. Scolded? Hmph. Whoever tried that one would get a nice response from the slayer.
"So where to first? Lead the way ghosty." She then added as she turned to him again. The smile upon her face showed that yet again she was not trying to insult him. Hell, maybe he would be the one person she got along with. Already she could tell that her and Buffy would often bump heads. This was probably due to the fact they seemed to both be dominant. Oh well. Perhaps it could fuel them to spar more often. Aurora greatly welcomed this idea. With this she waited for Wes to lead the way, her teal-ish eyes looking ahead excited to see the place.
