The flames licked the evening sky as the building of Wolfram and Hart went up like the Fourth of July. As the crew of Angel Investigations turned their backs for the final time and walked away, there was a new something brewing, one they wouldn't understand till the very end.
Have you ever awoken with that odd sense of déjà vu bubbling up in the pit of your stomach, knowing somehow you had experienced this all before? That was exactly how sixteen year-old Buffy Summers felt when she walked up the stairs of Sunnydale High for the first time. Recollections crossed through her mind, brief passages in time of having done the same thing many times before.
The night the Wolfram and Hart law firm fell, it turned back time, restarting from the Slayer's arrival in Sunnydale, people who were killed are alive again, others who had never sat foot in the small town now find themselves walking the sidewalks like they were meant to be there, and since when was Sunnydale a small community located in L.A.? Things are the same, or maybe they're not; all they know is the odd feeling is always with them that something happened that wasn't supposed to, that this is all repeating; and that it's up to them to keep things going for time to continue in a normal fashion. The gang is sure of one thing though, and they all can agree on it: it's time to fight this thing one last time, so let's
